Welcome back to my blog! I haven't been blogging since last spring so bear with me on this blogging journey. In case you were wondering where my old posts went, I may or may not have accidentally removed all of my previous posts while trying to revert them to drafts... hah. Anyways, you guys might know that I usually blog about school projects and activities. Well, I'm back again to post about more school related material. This time, I will be posting daily about one of my big final trimester projects.
Here, at my school, we are doing a Capstone Project. A Capstone Project is basically a 20% Project. In case you were wondering, the 20% Project is a project that is done usually 20% of the school time or, in some cases, work time. For example, we are dedicating a day in every week in our ELA class to do this project. Not only so, it is a project that is suppose to contribute and benefit you and your community in some shape or form. An example of a 20% Project is starting a gardening blog to help inspire others. Basically, its a project where the student is able to choose a subject to work on that they are personally interested in. Anyways, for my Capstone Project, I am working with a partner, Michelle Chau. We were both interested in stress so we decided to do a project based on student stress.
Since our project is going to based on students and their stress, who would know better than our school counselor? Our mentor will be Ms. Casteneda, our school counselor, because she interacts with students on a daily basis to help them with their problems such as stress. With her help, we will hopefully have a smooth project with very little problems. If we do encounter problems, in which case we will, we will find ways to fix or deal with them.

Wonderful easy to read and fun blog. I can't wait to see how your project goes! So excited and i am hoping it will give me ideas on how to make life less stressful for you guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to be able to relate to this and find out how many students now a days are stressed. :)
ReplyDeleteaAAAaaa, great job Jennifer!! I think this'll be a good project to help others become aware of student stress. Your project description has a lot of the word "stress" so, I don't know. Maybe cut down the use of that word or find a replacement for it?? But really though, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your guys' work. :>>
ReplyDeleteI love how your blog looks, especially the color scheme and the slider of your girlfriends! I'm looking forward for the updates of your project so good luck to you and Michelle!!
